The demand itself made no sense, because proper AML checks are supposed to be built into account verification, not attached as last-minute fees. When I pressed for legal documentation, all they gave me was a vague PDF with no regulatory backing. The irony is, they pretend this is to protect clients, when in reality it only traps clients by keeping their funds hostage. What’s worse, they told me the fee had to be paid in crypto only—another red flag. No real institution would block a payout until additional arbitrary money is transferred. The truth is clear: FxCape exploits people’s lack of regulatory knowledge to fabricate charges. Any platform resorting to this practice is not legitimate. After this experience, I can only advise others—stay away, FxCape is a fraudulent scheme.
