XRP has moved back toward $1.60 as large holders increase their balances and U.S. spot XRP ETFs extend a run of weekly net inflows. On-chain data show whale addresses added about 470 million XRP over five consecutive trading days, worth roughly $724 million at recent prices. ETF inflows reached an 11th straight week through September 25. Whether those demand signals can push XRP decisively above $1.60 remains to be seen.
Large holders add more than 470 million XRP
On-chain data cited by analyst Ali Martinez show large holders’ XRP balances rising from about 12.37 billion to roughly 12.8 billion, an increase of more than 470 million tokens valued at around $724 million. The change points to recent buying by large holders, but does not by itself establish the direction of future prices.
XRP was trading near $1.55 at the time of publication. The token has gained about 28% since rebounding from around $1.25 and recently reached a local high near $1.58. That recovery has put the $1.60 level in focus for short-term traders.
$1.60 is the key chart level
On the daily chart, XRP is forming an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern, with its neckline near $1.60. A sustained move above that level would put a chart-based target near $2 in view, about 30% above the current price. The target is a technical projection, not a guarantee that XRP will reach that level.
If XRP fails to clear $1.60, initial support sits at $1.53, followed by $1.50. A deeper pullback could bring $1.46 and $1.32 into focus. Technical analysts have also noted an RSI pattern that has previously coincided with stronger rallies. Confirmation would require the relative strength index to move back above its key moving average.
Spot XRP ETFs post an 11th week of inflows
Institutional demand is another factor drawing attention. SoSoValue data show U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded $75.59 million in net inflows for the week through September 25. Cumulative net inflows reached $1.79 billion, while the funds’ total net assets stood at about $1.77 billion.
The funds have posted net inflows for 11 consecutive weeks, from the week of July 17 through the week of September 25. The streak indicates continued fund demand, though flows alone do not determine XRP’s short-term price direction.
Bitwise updates its XRP ETF registration filing
Bitwise’s XRP ETF has also been part of recent market activity. On September 18, the company filed a post-effective amendment to its registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, updating prospectus disclosures and incorporating recent financial reports.
The market is watching whether whale accumulation and ETF inflows can help XRP hold above $1.60. A sustained break would provide technical confirmation; if the level continues to cap the price, $1.53 and lower support levels remain reference points for a potential pullback.
