Landmark Markets Scam Exposed: A Fake, Unregulated Broker

Landmark Markets Scam Exposed: A Fake, Unregulated Broker

Summary:Is Landmark Markets a scam? Our in-depth exposé reveals zero regulation, a fake MT5 platform, and major red flags. Read this investigation before you invest.

Recently, an online trading platform calling itself "Landmark Markets" has emerged in the public eye. It claims to be based in Saint Lucia and Georgia, offering various CFD products, including forex, stocks, and ETFs, and boasts an advanced MT5 trading platform.

However, behind its glamorous website lies a meticulously crafted scam. Here's what our research, based on public information and real tests, has revealed. Every red flag points to one conclusion: This is a fraudulent platform.

Unregulated "Ghost Company"

The biggest lie of Landmark Markets is its "legitimacy".

  • Claimed Address: The platform asserts that its registered address is in Saint Lucia.
  • Fact Check: We verified this through the claimed regulatory locations, and the results were shocking. There are no registration or regulatory records of "Landmark Markets" with either the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Saint Lucia or the Registry of Companies and Intellectual Property (ROCIP) of Saint Lucia.
  • Solid Evidence: In fact, the FSRA of Saint Lucia has issued multiple warnings clearly stating that forex business is not within its licensed or regulated business scope. Any forex platform claiming to be registered and regulated by Saint Lucia is false advertising.

Conclusion: Landmark Markets is a complete "ghost company", operating illegally without any financial license. This means that investors' funds are not protected by any law and will disappear once deposited.

A Non-functioning "Shell" Website

The core of a trading platform is its trading software and payment channels. At Landmark Markets, all of this is fake.

Fake MT5 Platform: The site claims to support the globally popular MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platform. But in actual tests, all its "download" buttons (whether for PC, iOS, or Android) were unclickable or directed to incorrect pages. There is no functional trading terminal available, and we could not find Landmark Markets' server in the MT5 software.

Unable to find Landmark Markets' server in MT5 software

Non-functional Payment Links: As for payments, the platform displays icons for bank transfer, Visa, and Mastercard. However, all relevant links and buttons are also non-functional, unclickable, and unable to redirect to any real payment gateway.

Conclusion: This is a non-operational "shell" website. It lacks even the basic functionalities of a real trading platform. Its purpose is clear: to lure users into registering and then guiding them to deposit money through untraceable methods like private transfers and cryptocurrencies by their "personal account managers", thereby executing the scam.

Typical Scam Characteristics

Aside from the two fatal flaws mentioned above, Landmark Markets fully embodies all the characteristics of an online investment scam (commonly known as a "pig butchering scam"):

  • Brand-New Domain: Whois data shows the platform's domain, landmarkmarkets.net, was registered on October 21, 2025. As of today (November 2025), the website has been live for less than two weeks. A platform that is only a few days old yet claims to be experienced is employing a typical scam tactic.
  • Absurdly High Entry Threshold: The minimum deposit for its "standard account" is $2,500. Entry-level accounts with legitimate brokers usually require just $100-$200. This illogical high threshold aims to maximize profit from each scam instance.
  • Zero Traffic "Ghost Site": According to Semrush data, the website's domain authority is 0, with no natural or paid search traffic. This indicates there are no real users visiting or using this platform.
  • Fake Social Media Presence: Even though the platform has seven social media accounts (like Facebook, X, etc.), the content is repetitive, consisting of low-quality promotional images, with almost no genuine follower interaction or comments. It's merely a facade to fake "capabilities".

Summary: Steer Clear of the Landmark Markets Scam

Landmark Markets perfectly illustrates the components of a modern online investment scam:

  1. An intricately designed, seemingly professional website (the bait).
  2. A set of false regulatory claims (the disguise).
  3. A completely non-functional trading and payment system (the shell).
  4. A brand-new domain and an illogical high deposit threshold (the giveaways).
