Ripple-backed crypto treasury company Evernorth began trading on Nasdaq on Monday under the ticker XRPN. Shares climbed to $19.38 intraday before retreating to close at $16.91, down 1.05% from the previous session, on volume of nearly 1.29 million shares. The stock edged higher after the close. XRP fell 3.03% on the day, showing that Evernorth’s listing did not translate directly into gains for the token.
XRPN retreats from its intraday high
Evernorth’s listing followed its merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II, which closed on October 9. SEC filings show that 80.3% of the SPAC’s redeemable shareholders elected to cash out before the merger. The high redemption rate is relevant context for the deal’s structure, but available information does not specify how it affected XRPN’s post-listing float or share price.
After opening, XRPN touched $19.38, then fell to $16.39 before ending the session at $16.91. The debut’s reversal came as investors weighed the company’s large XRP holdings, although the share price and the token did not move in tandem.
Evernorth reports holdings of about 473 million XRP
At its listing, Evernorth held approximately 473 million XRP. At Monday’s price of $1.37 per token, the holdings were worth about $648 million. The company also disclosed that the transaction generated roughly $300 million in cash proceeds before fees.
SEC filings indicate that some of Evernorth’s reserves came from investors contributing XRP they already owned in exchange for equity. As a result, the company’s reported holdings do not represent an equivalent amount of new buying in the market. The listing alone does not establish that Evernorth will use its proceeds to purchase additional XRP immediately.
A Nasdaq listing does not automatically create XRP demand
Evernorth’s debut offers a case study in how institutional crypto holdings can be paired with public-market financing. But XRPN trades on Nasdaq, while XRP trades in crypto markets; movements in the stock do not automatically create buying demand for the token.
Any future increase in Evernorth’s XRP holdings could affect how investors assess demand, but the company has not disclosed the size or timing of any post-listing purchases. On debut day, XRPN closed down 1.05% and XRP fell 3.03%, underscoring that the company’s shares and its underlying token remain separate market exposures.
