Morgan Stanley estimates that tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) could reach $3 trillion to $10 trillion by 2030. Against that backdrop, XRP and Solana (SOL) are drawing attention for networks that can connect traditional finance with decentralized finance. As of October 13, 2026, XRP had a market capitalization of about $85.71 billion and Solana about $62.99 billion, leaving both short of the $100 billion mark by different amounts.
That threshold is not a forecast. Market capitalization moves with token prices and supply and demand, while RWA activity alone cannot establish future token demand or prices. Recent tokenized-asset data from the two networks offers one measure of their application activity.
XRP is about $14.29 billion short of $100 billion
At the time of reporting, XRP’s market cap was about $85.71 billion, down 2.74% over the previous 24 hours. Reaching $100 billion would require an increase of roughly $14.29 billion, or about 16.67% from its current level.
XRP is the native token of the XRP Ledger (XRPL). Growing RWA activity on the network is one factor drawing market interest. Data from RWA.xyz showed that the value of RWA token transfers on XRPL rose 1,458.59% over the 30 days through the reporting date, to about $7.03 billion. There were 290 accounts holding those assets during the same period.
The sharp increase in transfer value alongside a relatively small holder count means transaction volume alone does not show whether adoption is broad. Investors will be watching whether activity persists and participation expands.
Solana has a wider gap, while RWA volume nears $8.25 billion
Solana’s market capitalization was about $62.99 billion, leaving it roughly $37.01 billion below the $100 billion threshold. Based on its current market cap, it would need a substantially larger percentage gain than XRP to reach that level.
RWA.xyz data showed Solana’s RWA transaction volume increased nearly 50% over the past 30 days, reaching $8.25 billion. The network had more than 893,500 RWA holders. The gradual clarification of regulatory frameworks for tokenized assets in major jurisdictions has been cited as part of the backdrop for Solana’s activity, although the data does not detail individual markets’ rules or how they are being enforced.
RWA transactions offer a reference point for activity on Solana, but they do not imply that SOL’s market capitalization will grow at the same pace. Broader crypto-market conditions and token supply and demand will also affect whether Solana reaches $100 billion.
Timing remains uncertain for both assets
XRP is closer to the $100 billion threshold, while Solana would need a larger increase. Some assessments have identified both as established crypto assets that could reach that level by the end of 2027. That view is based on current market capitalizations and network activity, not a settled market outcome.
As of October 13, 2026, XRP was down 2.74% over 24 hours. Over the preceding 30 days, RWA data showed about $7.03 billion in transfer value on XRPL and $8.25 billion in transaction volume on Solana. The figures measure different things: market capitalization reflects the market value of each token, while RWA data tracks activity involving related assets on the networks.
