HIVE Achieves Over $1 Million in Daily Revenue, GPU Cloud Services Account for 10%
HIVE Digital Technologies revealed preliminary figures for the period from August 21 to September 10, 2026, showing daily consolidated revenue exceeding $1 million. Bitcoin mining remains the main revenue driver, representing over 90% of the total income, while GPU-based cloud services contribute approximately 10%, equating to around $100,000 per day. These figures mark the first quantification of AI-related revenue contribution amid the company’s ongoing pivot toward AI infrastructure.
Bitcoin Mining Continues to Lead Revenue Generation
During this timeframe, HIVE averaged around 12 newly mined Bitcoin daily, covering about 2% of the global network’s total Bitcoin production. The company emphasized that these revenue estimates are preliminary, unaudited, and internally derived, subject to fluctuations in Bitcoin price, network difficulty, and operational performance. Bitcoin’s market price recently hovered near $76,820, a key factor directly impacting mining revenue outcomes.
GPU Cloud Contract Backlog and Revenue Realization
HIVE disclosed that the total contracted value for its GPU cloud services surpasses $600 million for the year, including both firm customer agreements and letters of intent. However, the company cautioned this figure does not equate to recognized revenue nor guarantees future income streams. Earlier, HIVE announced a $350 million AI cloud services contract alongside a $185 million GPU infrastructure buildout plan. The latest reported revenues reflect initial monetization of this segment, although a significant portion of commercial orders remains pending fulfillment and delivery.
Transition of Mining Facilities into High-Performance Computing Still in Progress
The firm acknowledged that GPU cloud segment revenues represented less than 5% of global revenues in August. HIVE plans to gradually phase out traditional Bitcoin mining operations at certain facilities, intending to repurpose these sites into high-performance computing centers to support AI and other data-intensive tasks. Nevertheless, the conversion process remains incomplete and entails uncertainties. Company executives noted that the timing and extent of this transition, including the cessation of mining activities, may not proceed as initially projected.
Dual-Focus Strategy: Balancing Mining Cash Flow and AI Growth
Currently, HIVE operates under a dual-track strategy where AI cloud revenues have begun to materialize but remain a smaller fraction of total income, while Bitcoin mining sustains financial stability. Market participants and investors are closely watching whether HIVE can preserve cash flow from mining operations while effectively scaling GPU cloud services through its existing contracts and infrastructure investments. Successful execution could significantly rebalance the company’s revenue mix and advance its strategic shift toward AI-focused data center operations.
