Yet, when I asked for a withdrawal, they suddenly introduced this new condition. The most disturbing part is that they try to make it sound normal, insisting it’s an industry standard. I know enough to realize this is nonsense. Reputable platforms deduct fees from profits, not block your entire balance. The longer I questioned them, the more aggressive their tone became, even suggesting my account could be frozen if I didn’t pay. That’s intimidation, plain and simple. To anyone else considering Wintrust Equities: this is not a trustworthy broker. Requiring a $950 fee upfront for withdrawals is a textbook scam tactic, designed to drain desperate investors further.
