U.S. stocks faced pressure this week, but gains in individual names remained widespread: about 800 stocks reached 52-week highs, more than 200 of them with composite ratings of at least 90. On Friday, several highly rated stocks were still within what technical analysts call buy zones. Corpay and Progyny advanced after reporting better-than-expected results, while Tenet Healthcare climbed to a record high.
Corpay raises guidance and stays in its buy zone
Corpay (CPAY), which provides corporate expense management and cross-border transaction services, broke above a $427.46 buy point on Thursday in a gap-up move. The level came from a cup-without-handle base. On Friday, the shares remained within the buy zone, whose upper limit is $448.83.
Third-quarter revenue and earnings exceeded expectations, prompting Corpay to raise its full-year outlook. The company now expects midpoint revenue of $5.35 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $28, representing growth of 18% and 31%, respectively. Its composite rating rose to 99. JPMorgan Chase, Oppenheimer and other firms raised their price targets after the results.
Corpay’s relative strength line reached its highest level in more than 18 months, ranking first in the Financial Services-Specialty industry group. The measure tracks a stock’s performance against the broader market; its high level amid a weaker market points to relative resilience in the shares.
Progyny adds 1.3 million covered patients
Women’s health benefits provider Progyny (PGNY) reached a new high on Thursday after reporting results above expectations for the third quarter. The company added 1.3 million covered patients and said strong member activity had led it to raise the midpoint of its internal forecast for full-year 2026. Wells Fargo and several other firms increased their price targets.
The shares moved above a $33.06 buy point from a cup-shaped base, with the buy zone extending to $34.71. Progyny has a composite rating of 99 and an earnings-per-share rating of 97, the highest in the Medical Services industry group.
Tenet Healthcare reaches a record high
Hospital operator Tenet Healthcare (THC) climbed to an all-time high after breaking out of a cup-with-handle base. Frontdoor was also among the stocks noted as reaching a buy point, though no specific price, earnings or performance details were provided.
