TradeStation Europe has introduced extended-hours trading in selected U.S. stock options for clients in the Netherlands and the European Economic Area (EEA). The update also lowers stock and options commissions and adds single-stock options spread strategies, giving eligible clients more ways to trade outside regular U.S. market hours. Availability depends on the contracts offered on the platform.
Eligible options trade before and after regular hours
Eligible single-stock options can now be traded from 7:30 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. Eastern Time before the regular session, and from 4:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. during the extended closing session, TradeStation Europe said.
The launch follows Cboe Global Markets’ expansion of options trading hours. Cboe had previously introduced extended-hours trading for 24 individual stocks and five ETFs. TradeStation Europe’s service applies only to eligible options; the company has not said that all U.S. options are available during the additional sessions.
The longer window gives clients more time to manage options positions outside the regular session, although the contracts available remain subject to the platform’s eligibility and product coverage.
Lower commissions and new spread strategies
The changes also include multi-leg options spread strategies on individual stocks and wider intraday trading hours for stocks, options and futures. TradeStation Europe has also reduced intraday futures margin requirements.
Options commissions are now $0.60 per contract, while stock commissions are $0.005 per share. The changes affect trading hours, available strategies and costs for European clients accessing U.S. markets through the platform. The company has not provided a complete list of eligible products or specific margin levels.
European brokerage began operating in June 2026
TradeStation Europe is the European brokerage subsidiary of TradeStation Group and holds a Dutch licence. President Peter Comstock said the business began operating in June 2026 as a regulated investment firm under MiFID and is supervised by the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM). He said the company moved quickly to introduce extended-hours trading after Cboe made the relevant service available.
Comstock said TradeStation Europe aims to provide European institutions and professional traders with access to U.S.-listed markets. The company offers trading in U.S. stocks, options, futures and options on futures. The latest update expands its U.S. trading services for European clients, with extended-hours access limited to the eligible options specified by the company.
