Amazon Prime’s U.S. meal-delivery benefit moved from Grubhub to Uber Eats on November 5. Eligible orders of $25 or more qualify for free delivery, and members can save $20 on each of their first two qualifying orders placed within 14 days of the launch—a maximum discount of $40. Members who previously accessed Grubhub+ through Prime must now place orders through Amazon’s Uber Eats checkout to use the new benefit.
Free delivery on orders of $25 or more
The offer is available to U.S. Prime members, including discounted Prime for Young Adults and Prime Access members. They can choose from hundreds of thousands of restaurants nationwide, with delivery fees waived on orders totaling at least $25.
To order, members can visit Amazon.com/ubereats or search for “Uber Eats” in the Amazon Shopping app. After signing in with their Amazon account, they can select a nearby restaurant and pay with a saved payment method. A separate Uber Eats account or the Uber Eats app is not required.
The offer runs for 14 days from its November 5 launch. During that period, members receive $20 off each of their first two eligible orders, provided each order is at least $25. Prime Visa cardholders can also earn 5% cash back on orders placed through Amazon through December 5, 2026.
Amazon’s Grubhub deal ends the same day
Amazon and Grubhub began their partnership in 2024. Under the arrangement, Prime members received Grubhub+ at no extra charge, including free delivery on eligible orders. The companies’ commercial agreement ended on November 5, 2026, when the Uber Eats offer took effect.
Prime members who used Grubhub+ through Amazon will need to order through Amazon’s Uber Eats integration to continue using the meal-delivery benefit. Amazon says members can keep using their existing Prime accounts; there is no need to create another account or install the Uber Eats app.
Other charges may still apply
Amazon Prime costs $14.99 a month or $139 a year. Existing subscribers do not pay an additional Prime fee for the new delivery benefit, but the final cost of an order depends on charges beyond delivery.
Service fees, applicable taxes, regulatory fees and tips may still appear on the bill. Restaurant menu prices on delivery platforms may also be higher than prices for ordering directly from the restaurant. Members can check the total at checkout and compare it with the cost of ordering directly or picking up the food.
